I hold a Masters of Science in Music Therapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. I became a therapist with the goal to support people through hard times, personal growth and healing journey. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, keeping race, culture, gender, neurodiversity and other identities in mind. I aim to create an open and safe space for every client. Most of my clients are English speakers. I can also provide therapy in Cantonese and Mandarin. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, practising yoga and trying out new cuisines.

MY approach

I run an Anti-Oppressive practice that acknowledges power dynamics and systemic oppression. Keeping in mind the impacts of racism, sexism, gender identities, and neurodivergence, etc. I believe the fundamental of therapy is to create a safe and contained space for you to explore difficulties. This includes the process of building a trusting relationship, and the experience of this therapeutic relationship. I work to create a space where you feel heard and safe authentically. I have a unique therapeutic approach combining talking therapy with creative therapy elements. Whilst we communicate through words, I would pay attention to your body language, tone of voice, eye contact, and other non-verbal communication. We can incorporate creative elements such as vocal improvisation, art, journal, and breathwork. I am patient, open-minded, and warm. Understanding culture, race, gender, and privileges is central to my practice. My practice is underpinned by psychodynamic and person-centred theories. I aim to create a non-judgmental, compassionate space for a therapeutic relationship to grow. It is important that you feel safe, listened to and contained. I am also trained in delivering Mentalization-Based Treatment for Adolescents (MBT-A) with the Anna Freud centre. MBT-A is a specialized, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help people understand their own thoughts, feelings, and intentions, as well as those of the people around them.
